Ten Pins Down

My experience with tenpin bowling went thus:

# First bowl I striked zero.
# Second bowl I striked zero.
# Third bowl I hit one pin.
# The rest of the game and next proceeded in a similar fashion...
# ...ending quite valiantly in two back-to-back strikes within the last four bowls of the last game (just to pile belated success upon belated success, my friend Becky also struck her first strike of the whole night at exactly this same point).

This has led me to two conclusions:

1. I'm really bad at bowling (duh!) or
2. I perform best under pressure.

Either way I'm sure going three years plus between bowling experiences cannot be beneficial to my average (and just for the record: it's really fun to bowl backwards (e.g. facing away from the alleyway and throwing said ball randomly between legs). This style makes above mentioned score look less terrible and, if by luck it manages to hit any pins, it makes the success look all the more spectacular.)

*hi-fives Lyd*

This happens to also be my way in bowling. Although I probably have never gotten 2 strikes in a row or in the same game.

Congrats! Did you do a happy dance?

lol.....awesome! I've been bowling a few times....I would always slide up a little too far and do a "foul" or whatever you call it, when the buzzer goes off and startles me so I jump and loose my grip on the ball and it lands on my toes....

But it's an entertaining sport if you've got colorful characters playing with you. =D

Heheheh. We took the youthgroup kids bowling a couple weeks ago.
They also enjoy bowling backwards.
My favourite bowling experience was when we went bowling...well, I can't remember where, or with who, but this girl accidentally let the ball go when she drew her arm back to bowl...thus causing the ball to go the wrong direction, and lots of people to leap out of the way.
It was highly amusing.
