Mail Day

Sick of me raving about mail day every week? Well, here's a few photos so you see what I'm always talking about.

P.S. Sydney photos next.

P.P.S. It feels so strange to think we've only got one more mail day left before we shift.

OH MY WORD! You live soooo far out! I didn't realize just how far out you live.

How long is the ride to the mail box?

Your mail box is so much cooler than mine.

*feels like I really need to go write you a letter on that cool stationary I got today*

I love checking the mail!!! Particularly when I'm expecting mail. Today my Senior First Aid Certificate came in the mail, so I'm really happy that I've finally got a Senior First Aid Certificate!!!

Elyse: From what I remember, it's a good 15-20 minute drive from their house. Isn't that right, Lyd?

Wow... It's like a 30-second walk to my mail box.

Oh, and the letter is written. Sure took me long enough (I can be a terrible slacker).

Same, but then, I don't live on a huge property in the middle of nowhere, like Lyd does. Although, that won't be for long.

But can it be classified as a mailbox? Technically I think it's a mail barrel.

AQlthough I agree it's very cool

It functions as a mail box. Therefore it is a mail box. That is my reasoning.

And yes, it is much cooler than your garden-variety mail boxes.

Out there in the bush, a lot of different things get used as mail boxes, such as ancient refrigerators which no longer work, 44 gallon drums, etc.

Elyse & Stephen: Yeah, it's usually about twenty minutes. All up 45 minutes for a 'round trip.

Cory: Oh, yay. *gazes lovingly at little blue star*

Andrew: Heh. Like Stephen said anything can be used out here. The original one at our place was an old pink refrigerator. I should see if I can find a photo of it.
